For the Kids

Hi Folks, I know for many of you who have children the “stay at home” order found in so many states is beginning to take it’s toll on the kids. The down side is that many of the children will take to video games, TV and texting to fill their idle time. Granted it keeps them occupied but at what price. Many folks can’t even allow their children to play with other children because of the pandemic fears and rightly so. That is where you come in and fill the needs of your children to stay healthy especially mentally and emotionally. Lets not forget their physical health in that you don’t want to have them turn into couch potatoes. I remember back to my early years with Grandfather and how he would make learning fun and in true Coyote teaching fashion we didn’t realize that we were being taught some of the most vital and far reaching lessons of our young lives. The lessons still teach me to this day and in the weeks to follow I would like to dedicate some of my blogs to teaching the kids while haveing fun doing so for both child and caregiver alike.

A few months ago I wrote about a game that could be played with kids of all ages. Simply it’s called the leaf chase where in the fall as the leaves begin to drift down from trees the kids and adults alike give chase to the leaves and catch them before they hit the ground. The one with the most leaves at the end of the alloted time wins. I also took this a step further in that a child would blindfold themselves and then try to sense the falling leaves and catch them. This also works well with adults trying to develop their Inner Vision and sensing the presence of a falling leaf. Needless to say that only one child or adult at a time should do the blindfold leaf chase because of safety concerns where people could run into each other or possibly into a tree or thick brush. However as you practice this enough with the kids you’ll find that blundering into each other is a thing of the past.

As far a blindfolding is concerned this is something Grandfather had us do and do often. One of my favorites and one I do with the Advanced Tracking & Awareness class is called the Blind Drum Stalk. Your kids will love this one. Have them blindfold themselves at the distant edge of your yard or in the woods and form 30 to 50 yards away begin to play a drum where you hit it every 30 seconds or so. The kids should then move slowly toward the drum until the touch the drum player. This is not a race but a slow walk where you want them to sense objects on the landscape and subsequently avoid them. This will build their sense of balance, their stalking ability, their sensitivity to the landscape and of course their balance. Then you put on the blindfold and let the kids play the drum for you. Enjoy

Thank You

Hi Folks,

I just wanted to say thank you for taking an hour out of your life to hear my latest emergency online program. Now that we know that this remote setup works for this type of program I will be doing updates every two weeks or so to keep you informed and teach you more as we weather through this pandemic. Please, if nothing else, say that “Warning Prayer” at leas twice a day and throughout the day surrender frequently. By using random surrender you will not miss any warnings. Again I want to thank all of you, especially all of the Elders and Keepers of the Wisdom for helping out on the chat room. Pray fervently and frequently with all the passion you can draw up from deep within the Temples of your Soul.

May the Great Mystery Bless, Tom

The Pandemic Part II class.

Hi Folks,

I’m just putting the finishing touches and countless additions to the Pandemic Part II online class. From the looks of the outline I would suggest that you plan on each of the three sessions running overtime. There is just too much that I want to get across and teach you not only about the Pandemic we are struggling with now but those yet to come in the future. Along with the probability of the oncoming pandemics I want to also address parts of Grandfathers’ Visions that deal with other issues that we will be facing in both the near and distant future. Your understanding of the visionary time line and the preparations that you have to make will be thoroughly covered.

The most important issue here is your family, especially your children. Not only am I going to dedicate nearly an entire session to teach you what you can do to protect your family both physically and spiritually but also how to teach them to protect themselves. During the first hour of the second session which will be on May 1st beginning at 7:00 pm I would like to use that hour to address and teach your children. The entire hour will be dedicated to teaching them ways to protect themselves, become more aware and also give them a thorough knowledge of what they can do to help you in times of need. I’ve made sure that I will not include anything too graphic or frightening for them but on the contrary I’m going to make this fun for them as they learn vital skills. In the end you will be able to take it from where I left off and take them further, according to their level of understanding.

This is proving to be an even more in-depth journey that the first pandemic online class was. I’m really getting excited about this second session or Part II because I know that it will bring you a sense of relief, confidence and focus. I’m no longer deeply concerned about the corona pandemic because I know now that it is a warning. It is what is yet to come that has me deeply concerned. However, in saying that the immediate threat is still very real so don’t let down you guard for a moment.

Prayers, Blessings and In Medicine, Tom

The link for the live broadcast webpage (on a desktop or laptop computer) is:
http://trackeraudio.com/LC5/LiveClass5.html

You’ll be asked for a name and a password; please enter the following exactly as it appears (it’s case-sensitive, make sure you don’t have caps lock on, make sure there’s no extra spaces):
name:  tracker
password:  !Family2

The chat room password is: sun
To open a webpage of the chatroom only, go here.
*note that anyone who doesn’t choose a nickname will be given the default nickname “anonymousey”.
For more info on using the chat room and fiddling with the settings, watch this video:

If the webpage throws a “401 error” or still shows a previous class/date, you may need to force your browser to re-load the page. Depending on your operating system, click the following keys:
Windows: ctrl + F5
Mac/Apple: Apple + R or command + R
Linux: F5

Please post comments during the breaks so you can keep you’re attention on Tom while he’s speaking. Tech support questions are always welcome as long as you’ve actually read this entire email 🙂
Bear in mind there is a 1000 character limit per post.

Your user name in the chat room should follow this format: FirstnameLastname. For example, John Smith would be JohnSmith.  The chat room will be open by the time you get this email, please try it out – if you have any questions, let me know. If you don’t see the chatroom on the webpage, please review your internet security settings or update your current browser or try it in a different browser.  Chat names such as “guest” or “SpanishFlu” are mightily frowned upon in the chat room  – we strive to treat it as an actual class out in the Pines.  If you can’t figure out how to change your name, ask for help on the chat room and in the meantime sign your posts each time with your actual name.  Anonymous posts in the chat room are usually not printed out for Tom to read.

At this point in the email you will be tempted to stop reading… please don’t 🙂 The following info is important and may save you a lot of time and stress when the broadcast begins.

If there seems to be more than 20 seconds or so of time delay (video lag) between real time and what you see on the computer:  Click the middle of the video player once to stop it, then once more to restart.  This will clear any built-up video lag in your system. I do it every break.
I also regularly use the free version of CCleaner to clean up my systems here before the broadcasts.

To clear out temporary internet files or browser cache, follow the link for your browser:
FirefoxChromeInternet Explorer OperaSafari
We recommend the internet browser Firefox for viewing this event. You can download it here:
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
Safari and Chrome are also good. ( http://www.apple.com/safari/download/  or https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/
Opera may also work fine. http://www.opera.com/computer/windows
Internet Explorer is not recommended, though it works for some.
Also check your browser’s plug-ins for up-to-date status. If you’re not sure how, just google the name of your browser plus the words “plug-in update”.

Please ensure that you’re internet connection speed is at least 800 Kbps (or 0.8 Mbps); you can check this here:  http://www.speedtest.net/
This test will tell you if it’s at least possible for you to watch the live broadcast, but it does not unequivocally determine whether or not your internet connection can sustain a 800 Kbps download for long periods of time.
If you have a lot of dropouts or video freezes, you can try (in order) refreshing the webpage, re-booting your computer (turn off, turn on), re-booting your internet router, or go through the items mentioned previously.
If you’re having problems you can ask the chat room for help or email
support@trackeraudio.com

I also recommend highly that you use headphones or powered speakers to listen to the broadcast – many laptop built-in speakers aren’t powerful enough to clearly hear the audio.

The video recording of the live broadcast will be posted for on-demand viewing by the next day. You’ll get an emailed link to an unlisted YouTube video to watch the on-demand version; it’ll remain posted for at least 30 days after the last broadcast for this class unless Tom says otherwise.  We also send a transcript of the chat room and any pertinent pictures from each session along with the video links.

That’s all for now – see you soon.

An Apology

Hi Folks,

I’m so sorry about the mix up in the poem/quote I put up yesterday. I’m afraid that when we deleted the poem we also deleted my emergency online program announcement. Just in case you missed it, it will begin at 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 11th and run until I feel satisfied that I’ve covered all that I want to. Please invite your family and closest friends to view the program and as always with an emergency program it will be of not cost to you except for your time. Many prayers for all of you, In Medicine and Blessings, Tom

A Sincere apology

Hi Folks,

I’m so sorry for putting that poem up on my blog without checking first. Jerry had said that the poem was accredited to Kathleen O’Meara (1839-1888) but actually it belongs to Cathrine O’Meara. It was written in March of 2020. As an author I made a blunder because I assumed that being so old that there was no copyright. I was so moved by the poem that I rushed to put it up on my blog. I’m going to try and figure out how to remove it since I don’t have permission to use it. Thanks so much for your understanding. No matter written today or over 150 years ago it is still inspiring and brings hope. Blessings, Tom

Thank You!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who sent cards, wrote letters, emails and texts whishing the Tracker School a Happy 42 anniversary. Actually my first real class was back in 1962 when I was but 12 years old. That was when a very dear and close family friend and retired State Trooper, Uncle Joe, asked me to help him teach a small group of troopers to track lost people as well as fugitive recovery. As you will remember if you took the Standard Class Uncle Joe was the person who got me started tracking for law enforcement and forensic investigators. I subsequently met with those same troopers and many more over the next 5 years at least twice a year. For my first weekend teaching they gave me $5 which was a small fortune back then for a poor Piney kid. Through all of my years of teaching there is one thing that remains constant and that is Grandfather and his mastery of skills both physical and spiritual. None of what I teach is mine for it belongs to Grandfather and the great lineage of Elders.

As I look back over so many years that have gone buy I often think back to the early days when I first began to teach in 1962. Back then no one knew what a tracker was or what they did. And the only thing out there that resembled any form of survival was classes given to the military recruits and aviators. Wow have we come a long way from those early days. It is a bit ironic that during March of 1962 Grandfather took us to the Hill called Prophecy and told us of the four warnings of the oncoming collapse. From that day on I began to warn people of what was to unfold and once again we face another of Grandfather’s Prophecies coming true in the form of the latest pandemic with yet more to follow.

Thank you all and In Medicine, Tom

Wilderness Diseases

Hi Folks;

Wow!!! What a great class. The online class on pandemics and the corona virus surpassed my wildest expectations. The responses and questions we received from all of you showed a great deal of enthusiasm, caring and dedication. At once it has become one of my favorite classes but also a bit of a nightmare at times. The big stressor for me was trying to reach a broad spectrum of students from those who have taken scores of classes to those who have taken no Tracker Classes. I cant remember how many hours I poured over the class outline, adding, removing, and modifying till I felt I reached a point where I could reach everyone. My brother Jim was great at rounding out the class especially with his strong scientific background in infectious diseases. We prayed that this class would alleviate many of your fears and build a certain confidence that will see you through these troubled times and those yet to come.

That being said, Jim and I have been working on a book together called WILDERNESS DISEASES; the avoidance, prevention and the treatments available both from Nature and from modern science. In the book we will teach you how to avoid the many diseases that are so easy to infect the folks who are not aware of them. The book is still about 16 months away from being published so we thought, “why wait”! Subsequently Jim and I are in the process of developing a class that we will put online sometime in May. Given the way this past class on pandemics had gone I believe firmly that the Wilderness Diseases online will be even more of a success. We will keep you posted as to dates and times.

Blessings and In Medicine, Tom
